Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Reading, Berkshire

  • Are you a qualified and RCVS registered veterinary surgeon or soon to be?
  • Are you looking for a new opportunity in Berkshire?

We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Reading for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, along with 1 in 3 Saturdays from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Part time hours can be considered. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

  • The role offers a varied first opinion caseload with a mixture of consultations and surgeries
  • There will be no OOH work or on-call requirements, offering a great work-life balance
  • They allocate time for admin duties so you can focus on patients during consultations

  • The practice has a great team made up of 2 vets, 4 RVNs and a supportive non-clinical team

About you

  • They are looking for a vet who has a good level of experience both in medicine and surgery
  • You will have excellent communications skills and client facing skills
  • You will have a positive attitude and show empathy to both clients and team members
  • You will encourage ongoing development of the team
  • You will be a team player and be able to work in a collaborative manner

Package

  • Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual leave, including bank holidays
  • CPD: Generous allowance of £1,250 with 5 days to attend

Must haves:
