We are currently working with an independent small animal practice on the outskirts of Nottingham, towards Mansfield, who are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The role can be worked with flexible full or part time hours, with a 1 or 2 day week position being considered for the right candidate. All out of hours are outsourced from the practice and the weekend rota is shared on a 1 in 4 basis.

They are looking for a competent veterinary surgeon with ideally 2 years post graduate experience in practice, with strong communication skills and an understanding nature.

Key details:

• Type: Small animal
• Hours: Full time, 8:30am to 6:30pm with a lunch break in the day
• Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am to 12pm
• OOH: None
• Sole charge: On Saturdays
• Consultations: 10 minute consultations - mixture of surgeries/consults throughout the day
• Team: 4 vets, 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs, full reception team and other support staff

• Strong team of 4 veterinary surgeons with over 60 years of experience between them

• Offers excellent customer service and has an excellent reputation within the community

About you:

• You will be RCVS registered and ideally have more than 2 years of qualified experience
• You will be confident with routine surgeries and consults
• You will enjoy building client relations and being a clinical veterinary surgeon
• You must have excellent customer facing skills, empathy, work well as part of a team and have a genuine passion for animal welfare.

• Salary: 40,000 to 55,000 per annum, depending on experience
