Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Nottingham.

This role is full time for 4 days per week, along with 1 in 3 half or 1 in 6 full weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

The practice has 4 vets with one being a certificate holding surgeon in surgery and there is a support team of nurses and non-clinical staff. It is fully equipped with the latest technology such as digital X-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres. All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in the nearest animal hospital.

About the role

The vet will be involved in all aspects of veterinary duties comprising of consulting, surgery, diagnosis and treatment of patients and inpatient care.

They will also support nursing staff with regards to clinical services and assisting with estimating costs to clients and dealing with client concerns.

The Vet required needs to have a minimum of 2 years' experience and confident in working in a busy practice.

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 62,369 per annum, commensurate to experience
