Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Norwich for a permanent Full time Veterinary Surgeon.

This is a full-time role working 4 days per week 9am - 7pm with a set day off each week. There is also a 1:4 weekend rota and no ooh.

This is an established first opinion busy practice.

The practice comprises of a team of certificate holding surgeons and other Vets currently studying towards certificates. They have excellent facilities available including a new ultrasound and digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, tonometry and an in-house laboratory. They see an interesting case load particularly orthopaedic surgeries - cruciate and patella repairs and simple fracture fixations.

The practice offer clinical freedom to their Vets and they hold regular clinical meetings to discuss cases and best practice. they pride themselves on providing an excellent work / life balance and are always striving to improve the mental health of the team.

Key Details

  • Type: Small Animal
  • Hours: Full time 4 days per week 9am - 7pm
  • Weekends1:4 weekends (Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 10.30am-4.30pm)
  • Sole Charge: Some
  • OOH: None
  • Branch work: None
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Consultations: 15 & 20 Minutes
  • Team: 4 vets, 4 RVNs, 2 students RVNs and support staff

  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.

  • Salary: Salary range: 30,000 - 50,000 (FTE)
