Job description

We are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Lancaster. This is a part time position working 22 hours per week with weekends on a rota basis. There is no OOH.

This is a modern purpose-built practice offering a wide range of Veterinary Services. The team comprises of 1 Vet, 1 Lead Vet, 2 RVN, 1 VCA, practice manager and support team. due to practice growth they now seek an addition part time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The practice is located close to local amenities and transport links including the train station and it is also within easy access to the centre of Blackpool.

They offer a wide range of services including completing nearly all first opinion orthopaedic cases onsite.

About the role.

The practice requires a proactive experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident in all routine surgeries and consultations. They must have excellent communications skills and be able to work well as part of a team. Areas of special interest are supported.

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 22 hours per week

About You:

  • You just have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will be confident in all routine surgeries and consultations
  • You will have an approachable and caring attitude
  • You will be a able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

  • Salary: 35,000 - 60,000 pro rata
