Permanent Registered Veterinary Surgeon, North London

We are recruiting a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy animal practice in North London. This is an independent first opinion practice who require an additional full-time vet to join their team.

This is a 40 hour week with a 1:4 weekend rota which will be sole charge on the weekends. Shifts will be 9 hours during the week and 6 hours on Saturday. Holiday cover for Monday when needed.

This established independent veterinary practice in North London have a great reputation within the local area and are known for providing high standards of care. This is an RCVS accredited practice and are fully equipped with full surgical, full dental facilities, in house laboratory, blood pressure monitoring, ultrasonography, endoscopy, ECG monitoring and much more.

The practice is looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon with solid experience and enjoys working in a busy practice. They will be committed to providing excellent veterinary care and work well as part of a team. They must have excellent client care and communication skills and embrace all aspects of the role.

Hours: Tuesday - Friday Full time

Weekends: 1:4 weekend rota

Team: 6 Vets, 6 RVN, 2 student nurses, 4 receptionists, 1 practice manager

The Person:

5 years experience

You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff

You will consistently deliver a high standard practice

You will be caring, adaptable, hardworking, and reliable

You will have excellent communication and customer interfacing skills

You will be driven and ambitious and looking to develop your clinical and skills

You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff

Facilities:

Blood pressure monitoring

Digital X-ray

Ultrasonography

Endoscopy

ECG monitoring

In house laboratory for blood tests, urine tests and microscopy

Full surgical facilities (soft tissue and orthopaedics)

Full dental facilities including dental X-ray

Ophthalmology

Chemotherapy

Acupuncture

Separate cat, dog and exotic spaces

The Package:

40,000 - 50,000 depending on experience

CPD encouraged, Generous Allowance

RCVS/VDs membership paid

4-week annual leave (possibly 5 weeks)

Last appointment at 18:45 but paid till 17:30

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom

Excellent customer service and communication skills

5 years experience

Comfortable working a busy practice
