Job description

We have an opportunity for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Crosby, Merseyside.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced veterinary surgeon who is confident in working sole charge, although this is not required, and can perform routine surgeries. You must also have excellent communication skills, high clinical standards and practical experience gained in a small animal practice. You will have the experience and competence necessary to improve the practice effectively and raise the already high standards provided by the clinic.

You will be confident in performing all aspects of surgery and consultation and will have the ability to create trusting and dependable relationships with your clients. You will provide the gold standard of care to the practice's patients and clients and be confident in taking on all aspects of surgeon responsibilities. You will also be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with your colleagues. This role takes place in a first opinion practice and is a great opportunity to improve your medical and surgical skills.

The role will be a 4-day week (39 hours per week) from 9am to 6pm and you will also work 1 in 3 Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm.

Package:
  • Salary: Up to 55,000, dependant on experience
  • Holiday allowance: 5 weeks plus bank holidays pro rata
