Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice on the outskirts of Nottingham Nottinghamshire.

This is a full or part time role with a 1 in 2 Saturday morning rota. There are no Sundays and no out of hours involved.

This role is open to all level of qualified veterinary surgeons, as they can take an experienced vet ready to jump in and get going, or a new graduate who is ready to join their first time. A full training scheme and support can also be provided for new graduates.

The practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and they pride themselves on delivering high standard of clinical care. They are a forward thinking and pro-active practice. They see a busy and varies case load.

Key Details

Type: Small Animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: 9:00am until 7:00pm each day, full or part time considered

Weekends: 1 in 2 Saturday mornings 9:00am until 12:00pm

Sole Charge: Some periods expected throughout the day

OOH: None required

Branch work: None required

Computer System: RX Works

Consultations: 15 Minutes

Team: 2 Vet 3 RVNS and support team

About You:

You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude

You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work

You will enjoy building up your own client base

You will be driven and ambitious

Ambition to study towards areas of special interest are welcome but not essential for the role

You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations

You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.

You will be a strong team player

Package:

Salary: Graduates starting from 32,000 rising to up to 60,000 per annum for 5+ years qualified

Holiday allowance: 5 weeks annual leave including bank holidays and Birthdays off
