Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Hinckley Leicestershire for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon. This position is full time with a 4-day working week and a weekend rota of 1:6.

The Vet would be working alongside the highly experienced branch partner and a team of 3 support staff comprising of a HRVN an SVN and a PCA. They all collectively provide a supportive and friendly environment to work in and are all dedicated to providing a high standard of veterinary care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Vet who is looking to work in a practice where they can build their own client base. The practice is in the beautiful market town of Hinckley and is within a good commute from Leicester. It is equipped with facilities including portable ultrasound and digital x-ray.

Who are they looking for?

They require a Vet who has a good amount of small animal experience and someone who is competent in routine examinations and surgeries and happy to work some sole charge when required. They will have good customer care skills and be able to build rapport easily with clients with a caring and empathetic attitude. They will have good communication skills and be happy to share knowledge and best practice where required. They will take pride in their work and lead by example.

About you

  • You will be confident in routine surgeries and consultations.
  • You will be comfortable with sole charge work with support of an RVN
  • You will be a goal orientated Vet
  • You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic Surgeon.
  • You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience
  • You will be confident in making clinical decisions
  • An interest in pursuing a certificate would be supported and encouraged
  • You will be ambitious, driven, and forward-thinking Veterinary Surgeon

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 55,000 Commensurate to experience pro rata
