Job description
Our central Edinburgh located client is currently recruiting for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The ideal role would be worked over a 4.5 day working week; however, a 4-day week could be negotiated.
This role would be ideal for a candidate with 2+ years qualified experience who has a good surgical skill set and is looking to join a progressive, forward thinking practice.
Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 8:30am until 7:00pm and half days 8:30am until 1:00pm
Weekends: 1 in 5 Saturday mornings 8:30am-12:00pm
OOH: None required
Inpatient checks: 1 weeknight a week and 1 in 5 weekends on duty
Sole charge: Must be confident with occasional sole charge
Branch work: Some work at a local branch practice may be required
About them:
This small animal veterinary practice is located perfectly for City Centre living and boast a wide variety of clients given its location. They have 4 sites in and around Edinburgh with the role being based at the Main practice, with occasional work at the branches. They are well equipped throughout and have a host of modern equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, in house laboratory and much more.
The Person:
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 2 years practice experience behind them since qualifying, as at the moment they are not able to support a new graduate. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
A driving license is essential as work at a branch practice may be required.
The Package:
Salary between 40,000 and 60,000 per annum
CPD & Certificates Funded
28 days annual leave with bank holidays in lieu
Professional fees and memberships paid
2 years + qualified experience
Birthday paid off
Must have:
RCVS registered and qualified
Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
