Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent full or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Buckingham. The role offers flexible hours with a 1:3 weekend rota and no ooh.

This is an established forward-thinking practice in Buckingham which due to continual growth are looking to recruit a permanent full or part time Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The practice sees a varied case load and pride themselves on providing excellent clinical and client care. They are fully equipped with modern veterinary facilities such as multiple consulting rooms, digital x-ray, isolation unit, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory.

About the role.

The practice comprises of a friendly and supportive team of 2 Vets and 4 Nurses along with supporting staff. they are looking for a friendly and caring vet to be a part of their team. They must have excellent customer service and communications skills and provide a high standard of clinical care.

The Veterinary Surgeon will have a minimum of 1 years' experience and be able to do routine surgeries and consultations. There will be small element of sole charge work so it is important that they are also comfortable within this area however support will be available. They must be eager and ambitious to learn and develop their clinical skill set and knowledge. The practice offers the Surgeon the opportunity to work up cases from start to finish and offers a good mixture of routine and non-routine consultations and surgeries. Areas of special interest and certificates are supported.

About You:

  • You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will be comfortable in all areas of routine surgeries and medical cases
  • You will be happy with some sole charge work
  • You will want to contribute to the practice enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
