Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Basildon for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team of 4 vets, 7 RVNs, 1 SVN and a supportive non-clinical team who thrive on collaboration.

You will have experience gained in a small animal practice. The practice is happy to accept any areas of interest you may have, for example orthopaedics would be an advantage as the practice performs a large amount of in-house orthopaedic procedures. The practice mainly deals with dogs and cats, with a ratio of around 60:40 dogs to cats.

You must have excellent communication skills in order to inform and support clients, competence in routine surgeries and the ability to create evidence-based treatment plans. You must also be passionate about keeping up to date with your own professional development and have the confidence to work sole charge at times.

This role is full time for 40 hours per week over 4 days, along with 1 in 5 weekends. There will be no OOH work.
