Professional veterinary recruitment

We are working with an independent small animal veterinary practice between Ashford and Maidstone who are currently recruiting for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join them on a full time, permanent basis. This role mainly involves working Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00am and 6:15pm each day, as well as being involved on the Saturday morning rota when required.

The position is suitable for a skilled veterinary surgeon who is comfortable with surgeries and consulting, ideally you will have at least 4 years post graduate experience.

Key Job Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: 9:00am until 6:15pm each day

Weekends: Saturday mornings 9am-12pm on a rota basis

OOH: None required

Sole charge: Sole charge work expected, must be comfortable

Branch work: None required

Team: 4 Vets, 3 Nurses and full support team.

About them:

A modern independent veterinary practice located between Ashford and Maidstone in Kent. They are a mixed veterinary practice and deal with all small animal, livestock and equine clients within the local area. The practice is well equipped with its in house laboratory, x-ray room and operating theatres meaning they can undertake most treatments - they also have specialist referral contacts to call upon if needed.

The Person:

The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 4 years' experience behind them since qualifying, as this position involves covering sole charge and all first opinion work. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.

The Package:

Salary flexible between 40,000 & 60,000 depending on experience.

RCVS registered and qualified
