Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Salisbury who are recruiting for two Veterinary Nurses to join them on a full or part -time basis. The full-time role is Monday - Friday with a 1:4 weekend rota. The part time rota is flexible however they would be included in the weekend rota.

The Nurse will be joining a team of 2 Vets, 4 Nurses and 1 VCA along with a non-clinical support team. The practice is located in the lovely historical city of Salisbury and has The New Forest on it's doorstep. London is easily accessible via a one-hour train journey and the coast is only a 30 minute drive away.

The practice can offer either full or part time hours, but the role offers the nurses the opportunity to utilise their nursing skills to their full potential. They will be involved in running nursing clinics as well as assisting the Vet in theatre and all other aspects of nursing.

They are looking for a Nurses who have a good level of experience, with an approachable and friendly attitude. They will be happy to lend a hand to what ever is needed and have a cheerful down to earth attitude. It is important that the nurses have good customer service skills. Ideally previous experience of leading a team or mentoring student nurses would be advantageous.

About the role

• The roles involve all aspects of general nursing including:
• Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
• Admissions & Discharges
• Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care.
• Running nurse clinics
• Mentoring student nurses where required.
• Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
• Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
• Administering medications and taking records accurately
• In patient care
• Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work.

• Salary: 22,000 - 28,000 commensurate to experience
