We are working with an independent veterinary practice in the surrounding area of Chichester and Worthing who are recruiting for two permanent Veterinary Nurses to join their expanding team. These are full time positions across the area of Worthing. They have two positions available within either their animal hospital or one of their branch practices. The position comes with no requirement to work out of hours and their is a shared weekend rota.

This is an independent family-owned group comprising of branches and hospital sites.

The candidate: we are looking for a driven and ambitious veterinary nurses who will be involved in all aspects of nursing. The candidates will work alongside and complement the existing dynamic team of nurses, all with varying interests from nursing clinics to surgical/medical nursing. They must be passionate about all aspects of their role and have a commitment to providing a high standard of veterinary care. They will be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills. The Nurse would be encouraged to maintain continuity and case management. The role offers the opportunity to take part in nurse led clinic work.

Key Job Details:

• Type: Small animal only
• Hours Mon-Fri: 40 hours per week worked over a 4-day working week - 10 hour shifts
• Weekends: Yes on a shared rota at the animal hospital
• OOH: None
• Team: Large veterinary team

About them:

An independent veterinary practice in West Sussex who have been providing care to the local area for over 50 years, expanding at a rapid rate in the previous decade. They provide a complete small animal service across all their practices, as well as a 24/7 practice providing an on-call service.

They pride themselves on their independent, family feel and have a very low staff turnover, supporting their team with their careers and day to day lives. All the practices are well equipped, and this role is at a site less than 5 years old.

The candidate:

You will need to be a competent veterinary nurse with a strong all round skill set. You will enjoy being involved in all aspects of nursing and willing to get involved with whatever comes your way. You will need patience and excellent customer service skills to ensure all clients are left feeling satisfied. Future opportunities for managing a team will be seen as a great challenge for yourself that you feel you can do to the best of your ability.

Minimum 1 years' experience required

The Package:

• Salary 26,000-29,000 depending on skills & experience
• 500 annual CPD Budget
• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays + your birthday off
• Paid RCVS & VDS Membership
• Sick pay scheme
• Company pension scheme

Must haves:

RCVS Registration

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.

Have excellent verbal / written communication skills
