Job description

Our independent small animal clients based near Bury St Edmunds are currently recruiting for two qualified veterinary nurses to join them on a full time, permanent basis. The roles are full time working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm each day - 1 early finish each week. The roles do not involve any requirement to work weekends or out of hours, except on the rare occasional of covering holiday leave.

They are looking for a hard-working veterinary nurses who are willing to crack on and be involved in all aspects of nursing. They are open to applications from all levels of qualified RVNs as well as those about to qualify.

Key Details:

  • Type: Small animal only
  • Hours Mon-Fri: 40 hours per week - shifts either 8-5:30, 8:30-6 or 9-6:30
  • Weekends: None required (except very rare holiday cover)
  • OOH: No on call required
  • Team: 6 Vets, 8 Nurses and multiple support staff
  • Branch work: Some work at branch practice may be required

About them:

A busy small animal independent practice near Bury St Edmunds with a well trusted reputation in the area with a strong team of 6 vets, all with lots of varying experience in the industry as well as a great team of nurses. The practice handles everything from consultations, surgeries, diagnostic work, referrals, nurse consults and work in partnership with an out of hours practice who look after their patients after hours.

The Person:

They are looking for a compassionate, hardworking, and reliable veterinary nurse whose passion for the industry is clear with everything they do. You experience is not the most important thing, as training and support can be provided, however you will need to be willing to be involved in all aspects of nursing.

The Package:

  • Salary between 21,000 and 25,000 per annum

Must haves:

RCVS Registered & Qualified or soon to be.
