We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Wokingham who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse. The position is full time working 40 hours per week with a 1:6 Saturday. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

You will be joining a small, talented clinical team. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence and competence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve managing the kennels, assisting in the operating theatre and consulting.

Duties:

• Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
• Admissions and discharges
• Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
• Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
• Monitoring operations and assisting the vet in surgery
• Administering medications and taking records accurately
• In patient care
• Nurse clinics
• Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work

• Type: Small Animal
• Hours: Full time between 8:30am and 7pm 40 hours per week
• Weekends: 1:6 Saturdays 8:30am to 5pm
• OOH: None
• Branch work: N/A
• Computer System: RX Works
• Consultations: 15 Minutes
• Team: Friendly team of 20, including 8 nurses and a supportive non-clinical team
