Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent part time Veterinary Nurses to join a practice in Swindon Wiltshire. The role can offer hours between 25 - 30 per week with a 1:2 Saturday rota. There is no OOH requirements and no Sundays!

The Nurse would be joining small and friendly team of 2 Vets, 1 RVN and 1 VCA along with non-clinical staff. The practice is fully equipped with all the latest technology including Ultrasound and Doppler. They can provide a supportive working environment in additional to career development opportunities.

The role involves all aspects of general nursing including

Assisting in the day to day running of the practice

Admissions & Discharges

Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care.

Be responsible and take ownership of tasks

Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery

Administering medications and taking records accurately

In patient care

Nurse clinics

Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work.

The practice is looking for an RVN who has a good level of nursing experience and someone who enjoys building client relationships. They will embrace all aspects of the role and work well as part of a team. They will have a compassionate and empathetic attitude with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

Key Details:

  • Type: Small Animal
  • Hours: Monday - Friday Part time 25 - 30 hours per week
  • Weekends: 1:2 Saturday rota
  • OOH: None
  • Sole Charge: None
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Consultations: 15 - 30 minutes
  • Team: 2 Vets 1 Nurses, 1 VCA and non-clinical team.
