Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent registered veterinary nurse to join a busy practice near Northwich. This is a large multi-site first opinion practice whose ethos is based on clinical excellence, excellent customer service and patient care. This role is 37.5 hours a week, working between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 Saturdays 1pm - 4pm at the practice. There is also a 1:8 weekend rota to provide cover at one of the branch practice which is either a Saturday or Sunday and a shared bank holiday rota across the patch equalling 1 bank holiday per year. The weekend shifts are shorts shifts.

About the role:

The role is ideal for either an experienced RVN or a newly qualified RVN due to the level of support available. This is an excellent opportunity for the RVN to develop their clinical skill set and knowledge whilst working in a large busy team seeing a wide variety of cases. This is a full-time position with a 1:4 rota for weekends and late shifts.

The role involves all aspects of nursing, so it is a varied role. This allows nursing skills to be utilised to their full potential with each day being different. The practice has a strong ethos on personal development and CPD and continual learning is actively supported and encouraged.

The Person:

  • You will be competent in all aspects of general nursing
  • You will be ambitious to continue with further education and training

  • You will either be an experienced RVN or a recently graduated RVN
