Job description

We are recruiting a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Leicester. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. There is a shared weekend rota of 1:4. The shifts during the week are between 8am - 7pm and Saturdays are 9am - 5pm and Sunday 10am - 3.30pm. There is no ooh work.

The practice comprises of a large and friendly team of 7 Vets, 6 Nurses, 1 Practice Manager and supporting staff. They are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic RVN to join their team. The offer a wide range of Veterinary Services and are fully equipped with state of the art facilities.

About the role

The practice offers an exciting work opportunity by offering a varying case load and offers the RVN full scope to develop their clinical skill set and utilise to their full potential. There is plenty of theatre work along with nurse consultations. It is important that the RVN works well as part of a team and has excellent communication and customer care skills. Previous experience in clinical coaching would be advantageous but not essential and willing to become a clinical coach again is an advantage. The RVN will have an approachable, friendly, and down to earth attitude with a genuine passion for animal welfare. Areas of special interest are fully supported and there is funding for certificates.
