Our independent client's veterinary practice are currently recruiting for a qualified veterinary nurse to join their practice on a full time, permanent basis. The practice are willing to be flexible on the exact hours offered but the current nurses all work between 35 & 41 hours a week.
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 35-41 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am & 6:30pm
Weekends: 1 in 7 Saturdays on a rota 8:30am until 2:30pm
Sole charge: Not required, large team of nurses
OOH: None required with this role
Team: 7 Vets and 7 nurses as well as support staff
Branch work: Occasional shift may be required at a local branch
Main duties: General nursing duties, theatre nurse, in patient care, laboratory work and nurse consultations
A well-established veterinary practice in Pontefract with a long-standing reputation within the local area. They have a large team of vets and nurses in the practice as well as an established management team.
The practice is well equipped with a variety of equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, Electrocautery, Cryosurgery, dental suite and orthopaedic surgery facilities.
You will be a qualified veterinary nurse with experience working within the UK
You will have excellent all-round nursing skills
You will be self-motivated with a genuine passion for animal welfare
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop working relationships with clients and team members
Salary to be confirmed (19,000-23,000 as a guide)
