We are currently recruiting for a qualified registered veterinary nurse to join an independent practice in the Hull area on a full time, permanent basis. This role would involve working 37.5 hours per week over a variety of shifts on a rota basis, but no out of hours or nights will be required. Occasional Saturday mornings will be required on the rota but time of in lieu will be provided on the following Friday.
During the COVID-19 pandemic the practice has been operating over too split team to limit contact between staff members in case of an internal outbreak. The practice can offer flexible working days and would be willing to consider a 4-day working week.
Type: Small Animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 37.5 hours a week between 8:30am and 6:45pm each day
Weekends: Saturday mornings 8:30am until 12:00pm on a rota basis with time off in lieu given the following Friday
Out of hours: None required
Sole Charge: None required
Branch work: None required, 1 practice only
Team: 3 Vets, 3 RVN's , 2 nursing assistants and other support staff
A well-established independent practice who have been operating in the area for almost 50 years providing top standard veterinary care. They pride themselves on offering a caring and professional service and aim to treat all pets as if they were their own. The practice offers 15 minute consultations to allow the vet enough time to resolve whatever issue is seen. They are fully equipped with modern diagnostic imaging equipment including ultrasound, x-ray, endoscopy, cardiology, full surgical facilities, puppy parties, kennel club and much more.
They are looking for a qualified veterinary nurse ideally with a couple of years post graduate experience however they would still be open to applications from recently qualified nurses. If you have a clinical coaching qualification this is also a plus! The most important detail is that you are hardworking, motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
Salary is depending of experience, starting from around 20,000 upwards
