We are recruiting for a permanent registered veterinary nurse to join a small animal referral practice in Horsham West Sussex.

This is a brand-new purpose-built referral practice boasting state of the art facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVN who is interested in developing their surgical nursing skills.

The practice is located in Horsham which is a beautiful location in West Sussex. As a referral practice, they offer all the latest technology and diagnostic equipment's including MRI and an onsite CT Scanner.

There is a large, experienced team of 5 Vets and 10 Nurses. Two of the veterinary surgeons are both regarded as the most experienced orthopaedic surgeons in the UK and collectively have over 50 years' experience. The RVN will be joining the large supportive nursing team with an experienced head veterinary nurse. The practice prides itself on a supportive team culture.

The position involves a 40-hour working week with a generous 1:6 Weekend rota on call with two days off in lieu the following week. There are no evening or ooh duties. They require an enthusiastic dedicated RVN who has a caring nature and able to work well as part of a team but also on their own. The role does not require the RVN to have previous experience within a referral practice however due to the nature of the cases seen this would be an excellent opportunity for an RVN who has a special interest in surgical nursing.

The Person:

• You must be motivated and passionate about your work and share this and promote this ethos with other members of staff
• You will be happy to work in a surgical bias position with some general nursing duties
• A special interest in orthopaedics would be desirable along with previous experience
• You will enjoy working as part of a team
• You will have a genuine passion for animal welfare
• You will consistently deliver a high standard of clinical care
• You will be caring, adaptable, hardworking and reliable
• You will have excellent communication and customer interfacing skills
• You will be driven and ambitious and looking to take your career to the next step and develop your clinical and skills

• 26,000 - 29,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
