Job description
Our independent clients in Gloucester are currently recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team of 20 on a full time, permanent basis. This role can be worked over a 4 or 5 day working week, with a variety of shifts and 1 hour lunch break. There is a 1 in 7 weekend rota and a 1 in 14 Saturday rota, both with time of in lieu during the week. All out of hours are covered by a dedicated night team.
Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 4 x 10 hour days or 5 x 8.5 hour days
Weekends: There is a 1 in 7 weekend rota and a 1 in 14 Saturday rota, both with time of in lieu during the week
OOH: No out of hours/on call
Team: 15 Vets, 20 RVN's and large team of support staff as well as a dedicated night team
Branch work: Occasional branch cover could be required
About them:
An established, independent, RCVS accredited veterinary practice in Gloucester who provide a full small animal service to their clients - from first opinion cases, emergencies, referrals, out of hours and more! The practice has superb facilities to provide state of the art veterinary treatment, as well as an on site shop and a professional laboratory. They provide a complete 24 hour service and have a host of equipment, including: Two operating theatres, full imaging room, orthopaedic equipment, Bloody pressure monitoring, ECG recording, dental machines and much more.
The Candidate:
You will need to be a competent veterinary nurse with a strong all round skill set. You will enjoy being involved in all aspects of nursing and willing to get involved with whatever comes your way. You will need patience and excellent customer service skills to ensure all clients are left feeling satisfied.
A clinical coach qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
The Package:
Salary 22,000-26,000 depending on experience
1000 annual CPD allowance + 5 days paid CPD leave
