Professional veterinary recruitment

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Darlington County Durham for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time basis. The role offers a 40 hour week with a shared weekend rota along with a ooh rota.

This is a 1st opinion small animal hospital which is fully equipped with all the latest technology. It offers an interesting and exciting caseload and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team. The Hospital provides OOH support to patients and have a dedicated emergency and critical care services.

The hospital are looking for an RVN who is passionate and dedicated to providing a high level of care to all patients and client. They will have great client facing skills and a positive attitude. They will be looking for a role where they can expand on their knowledge and skills further.

Duties include:

Complete all aspects of nursing duties and assisting Veterinary Surgeons

Clinical coaching duties for SVNs

Monitoring stock control and adhere to budget

Reception enquiries when required

Liaise with clients and ensure accurate information is passed on regarding their pets

Co-ordinate training for Nurses and Animal Care assistants - liaise with management team

Ensure opportunities are available for team members to gain experience and provide support and encourage where necessary

Induction training of new staff members

Ensure staff are compliant with Health and Safety Policies.

• Salary 30,000 per annum commensurate to experience
