Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a practice County Durham.

The position is full time with a 40-hour week with a mixture of weekday, weekend and OOH work.

The practice is a training hospital which is in County Durham. They offer state of the art veterinary services and facilities. They are equipped with toys including laparoscopic equipment, laser therapy, in house laboratory, radiography suit and more. They support and encourage all of their nursing team to continue with additional qualifications and certificates in areas of special interest to them to develop their career further. The practice promotes and funds this.

The practice provides a high standard of veterinary care and are on the practice standards scheme and have previous won awards.

They are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking nurse who will enjoy and embrace all aspects of the work. The role will include modern day nursing, in patient care, nurse consults and theatre work.

Key Details

  • Type: Small
  • Hours: 40 hours/ week (rota basis including great mixture of day, out of hours, weekend, and bank holiday shifts)
  • Weekends: 3:8 weekends
  • Lieu: One day off in lieu after working a weekend
  • Sole charge: None
  • OOH: Yes - additional to salary for OOH work average one night per week
  • Team: 6 Vets, 5 Nurse 3 SVNS
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

The Package:
