We are recruiting Registered Veterinary nurses to join an established charity clinic in London. The clinic provides veterinary healthcare to low income pet owners. They accept referrals from other practices across the area also to offer an alternative treatment for clients where euthanasia may have only been the option for their pet. This is a full-time role with a 9-hour shift pattern between the hours of 8am and 8pm and a 1:4 weekend. There is no night OOH however the weekend rota is for in patient care only.

About the role:

The role involves all aspects of general nursing and includes some reception work. The nurse will be involved with surgeries and post op checks and in-patient care. They do not offer nurse consults however they do offer a vaccination clinic which an RVN often can provide the second round of vaccinations. Each day offers a variety of cases, so each day is different and often there are a lot of emergencies to deal with so the RVN is exposed to more complex cases thus developing their skill set and knowledge.

This is a well-established charity clinic in London who provide first class veterinary care to low income pet owners. They promote animal welfare through education and offer animal rescue services to animals in emergency situations where members of the public have called the charity. They see many challenging medical and surgical cases and are fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. It is a large three-story clinic with operating theatres and consultation rooms as well as X -Ray, Haematology, Biochemistry machines, endoscopy and dental machines.

The clinic has a modern, well-equipped operating theatres available for procedures where the utmost cleanliness is needed and cater for more complex medical and surgical cases

• Salary 18,000 - 24,000 pro rata
