Job description

We are recruiting a permanent registered Veterinary Nurse to join a practice in Byfleet Surrey.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week with a 1:3 weekend rota. There is no OOH.

The practice is located just outside of Byfleet in the countryside and is within a 20-minute walking distance from the town centre.

This is an established purpose-built practice offering fantastic diagnostic facilities such as Digital X-RAY, ECG, Doppler, Capnograph, Dental, in house laboratory, ultrasound and laser therapy.

They comprise of a team of 2 Vets, 3 RVNS, 1 SVN and support staff. Two of the RVNS have feline medicine certificates and one other nurse is currently studying towards a certificate so this is actively encouraged and supported should the RVN wish to pursue a post graduate qualification. The practice has a fantastic local reputation due to its delivery of high standard veterinary care.

Who are they looking for

The practice is looking for a qualified nurse or perhaps a nurse who is recently qualified due to the level of support available. They must have solid nursing skills and enjoy a wide variety of duties. The role involves all aspects of general nursing with support available towards areas of special interest. They must have excellent client facing skills, be able to work well as part of a team and have a passion for animal welfare.

They must have a caring and approachable attitude and where necessary provide support and training to others.

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week
