Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Blackpool. This is either a full time or part time role with a 22 to 40 hour working week. Both roles will include a weekend rota.

This is an established purpose-built practice who are looking for an additional RVN to join their team of 2 Vets, 2 Nurses, 1 SVN and non-clinical support team. They provide excellent customer service and veterinary care to all clients and patients and this is an ethos that the new RVN would also need to share. They pride themselves on providing a supportive and happy working environment.

The RVN will embrace all aspects of the role, have excellent client care and customer care skills and be able to work as part of a team.

Duties:

  • Assisting in the day to day running of the practice
  • Admissions & Discharges
  • Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care.
  • Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
  • Monitoring operations and assisting the Vet in surgery
  • Administering medications and taking records accurately
  • In patient care
  • Nurse clinics
  • Measuring blood pressure

  • Type: Small Animal
  • Hours: Monday - Friday - Full or part time hours available
  • Weekends: 1:3 Saturdays
  • OOH: None
  • Sole Charge: None
  • Computer System: RX Works
  • Consultations: 15 minutes
  • Team: 2 Vets, 2 Nurses, 1 SVN and support team
