Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a veterinary hospital in Peterborough for a Permanent Veterinary Clinical Director or Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

This is a full time role however the practice would consider part time or alternative hours for the right candidate.

The Hospital are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Clinical Director and a candidate who is passionate, dedicate and excited to drive the practice forward.

Soon the Hospital will be undergoing a refurbishment to create a more modern environment however it is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and diagnostics.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Head Nurse in implementing new practice protocols and procedures.
  • Day to day management of the hospital
  • Providing a leadership role to colleagues, become a mentor and lead from the front. Evolve with ever changing working environments.
  • Overseeing the new planned development of the Hospital
  • Coach and mentor colleagues
  • Show commitment and dedicate to their own professional development and knowledge
  • Be a professional forward and positive thinker and consider alternative ways of working to improve the running of the practice
  • Deliver a high standard of veterinary care to patients and clients
  • Establish excellent working relationships with clients.

They will enjoy leading from the front, setting an example to others whilst providing support and mentoring to all colleagues. They will have excellent communication skills and gain respect easily from fellow team members. Strong organisational skills are essential.

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 70,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
