Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Twilight Veterinary Nurse to join a practice in Leeds, working weekday evenings.

You will ideally have 3 years of experience working in a small animal practice. You will be joining a large, collaborative clinical team. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the team. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve managing the kennels, assisting in the operating theatre and consulting.

The role is part time for 30 hours per week and involves shifts of 6 hours from 6pm to 12am.

About the practice:

This is a busy 24 hr animal hospital, and they are looking for confident, assertive, and enthusiastic veterinary nurse.

This is a purpose build large 24hr practice with state-of-the-art facilities. They provide OOH cover and additional support to 15 practices across the West Yorkshire region so referral work, ECC work and in patient care, routine surgeries and consultations are all provided within the hospital.

The Nurse will be joining a team of 3 Night Vets, 3 Night Nurses and 4 Night VCAs, 3 twilight nurses and a reception team. The whole hospital has a large veterinary team. They provide a friendly and supportive environment with great clinical and management support. They role involves dealing with a wide varied case load.

About You:

  • You will have excellent all-round nursing skills.
  • Previous ECC experience would be advantageous
  • You will have previous experience of working within a busy practice
