** Surgical Certificate Holding Veterinary Surgeon role **

We are recruiting for a Permanent Surgical Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Liverpool.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days with a 1:6 weekend rota. There is no ooh or sole charge. This is an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Certificate Holding Veterinary Surgeon.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres. All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in the nearest animal hospital.

About the role

They are looking for a Vet who either has a certificate in surgery or is currently studying towards a certificate. The right candidate will be confident in routine orthopaedic surgeries and enjoy both surgical and first opinion work. They will have a good level of small animal experience and be competent in sole charge work. They Vet will work in this state of the art hospital which has recently been refurbished and boasts facilities including in house laboratory, Ultrasound, CT, Endoscopy and digital x-ray.

Excellent client facing skills are required and they must be able to work well as part of a team.

Experience required for the role:

A high level of small animal surgery including TPLO/TTAs, fracture repairs and complex soft tissue

A surgical certificate is advantageous

Experience in mentoring others and a willingness to mentor where required

Excellent communication skills

  • You will have excellent customer service and communication skills.
