Job description
We are working with an independent veterinary practice on the Channel Island Jersey who are currently recruiting for 2 small animal veterinary surgeons to join them permanently. The roles are full time and involve being involved on a 1 in 2/3 Saturday morning rota and a 1 in on call rota.
Due to the experience within the current team, they are able to consider all qualified veterinary surgeons including those recently graduated, or senior certificate holding vets.
Key Job Details:
Type: Small animal only
Hours Mon-Fri: 8:30am until 6:00pm each day
Weekends: 1 in 2/3 Saturday Mornings
OOH: 1 in 6 weeknight and weekend rota
Sole charge: None required however must be comfortable working alone
Branch work: Yes, some shifts required at local branches
Time of in lieu: When working a weekend on call, you will be given Thursday to Sunday off the following week
About them:
This independently owned practice covers mainly small animals with some equine cases - they pride themselves on the supportive but laid back working environment they provide for staff and benefit for a wide and varied caseload. All cases are dealt with in house and not referred out, meaning vets have full case continuity.
This practice operates over 4 branches on the Island, with all being fully equipped with latest modern technology. They will provide accommodation and a practice vehicle to assist with he relocation process.
The Person:
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 1 years practice experience behind them since qualifying, however the would consider applications from hungry, enthusiastic new graduates. You will have a keen interest in both surgeries and consulting and have a real passion for providing a high level of care to all patients. It Is also important you have a compassionate and understand nature as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service.
The Package:
Salary to be discussed depending on experience
CPD actively encouraged with 5 days per annum
Certificates funded for right person
5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays
RCVS, BSAVA and VDS fees paid
