Job description
We are working with a mixed animal practice based on the outskirts of Leicester who are currently recruiting for an additional veterinary nurse to join their friendly team. This is a full time role that involves working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday and a 1 in 5 weekend rota - they also require some minimal out of hours cover but no phone duties.
Key Details:
Type: Small animal and farm animal
Hours Mon-Fri: 37 hours per week over a variety of shifts
Weekends: 1 in 5 Saturday morning rotas
OOH: 1 in 5 minimal on call rota, no phone duties, just called out by vet if required
Team: 5 Veterinary nurses in the team, with full support staff
Branch work: Occasional shift at branch practice may be required

A busy practice who have been providing mixed animal services to the local area for over 50 years, they have a forward thinking management team who are looking to continue developing the practices growing reputation. They provide a full out of hours service for their clients, nurse clinics, routine consultations, parasite prevention, vaccinations, radiography services, a wide range of surgical procedures, dental procedures and boast full extensive in-house laboratory facilities.
The Person:
They are looking for a compassionate, hard working and reliable veterinary nurse whose passion for the industry is clear with everything they do. It is important that you are fully qualified and registered with the RCVS however recent graduates will be considered. Customer service skills are also of high importance, as they pride themselves on the full level of service provided.
The Package:
Salary between 20,000 & 24,000 depending on experience
3 days funded CPD and regular in house courses
22.5 days annual leave per annum (pro rota if part time)
