Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf on a fantastic small animal practice in Southampton who require an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. Part-time hours considered. The practice would also be interested in small animal & equine Vet applications as this would be advantageous.

The practice is independently owned, with a brilliant multi-vet team and nursing staff, and an established client base. They have an excellent reputation due to the highest standards of care and service being offered at all times.

The practice require a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years experience, ideally 5 years.

Key Details:

  • Hours: Full-time 4.5 days a week
  • Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings
  • OOH: 1 in 4 on call
  • Team: Multi-vet team with qualified nursing staff
  • Consultation times: 15 minutes

  • Fully independent practice who are highly respected in the area for offering the highest level of care possible.
  • State of the art facilities including their own laboratory, surgical theatre, dental suite, ultrasound machines, endoscopy, ECG, and digital radiography equipment. They also have separate dog and cat wards, along with a dedicated isolation room.

Person:

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified and registered Veterinary Surgeon with previous experience of working in practice
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional customer service and standards of care
  • The successful applicant will be confident undertaking consultations and surgeries

Package:

  • 37,000 - 55,000 Commensurate to experience
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Excellent communication skills
