Job description

We are recruiting a permanent Veterinary Nurse to join a small animal practice in Oxford. This is an independent first opinion practice who require an additional full-time nurse to join their team.

This is a 38-hour week with a 1:4 weekend rota. There is one night on call per week which is for emergencies only as the Vet holds the phone, but the nurse must be within 20 minutes from the practice when on call.

This established independent veterinary practice in Oxford operates over 2 sites and they have a great reputation within the local area and are known for providing high standards of care. This is an RCVS accredited practice and are fully equipped with diagnostic equipment, digital and dental x-ray, in house laboratory, biochemistry, endoscopy and much more.

The practice is looking for an enthusiastic nurse with solid experience. They will be committed to providing excellent veterinary care and work well as part of a team. They must have excellent client care and communication skills and embrace all aspects of the role.

Key Details:

  • Type: Small
  • Hours: Monday - Friday Full time
  • Weekends: 1:4 weekend rota
  • Sole charge: No
  • OOH: 1 night per week for emergencies only
  • Team: Large Veterinary team
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified
