Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of an independent practice in Orpington Kent for a Permanent Night Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.

They are looking for an experienced Vet who is competent in most surgeries and consultations. Previous experience with ECC work or night work would be advantageous but essentially, they need to be a confident Vet and happy with sole charge work.

The role offers a 1:3 rota which is one week of nights followed by two weeks off. The Vet would be working alongside an RVN for additional support. Working hours are Monday - Sunday 7pm - 9am apart from Saturday where is 5pm - 9am.

The role will involve emergency consultations / surgeries and looking after in patients.

This is an established practice which is fully equipped with all the toys. They pride themselves on working well as a close-knit team, so it is important that the vet shares this ethos and is a team player.

The team boast experienced Vets who are either certificate holders or currently working towards a certificate, so this is actively encouraged and supported with funding.

Person:

  • Previous night work experience is advantageous but not essential.
