Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a large 24hr animal Hospital is Finchley London.

This is a full-time role working 7 nights on and 14 nights off.

This is a busy 24hr hospital and the Vet would be joining a team of 11 Vets and 12 RVNS, SVNs and non-clinical support team. There is also mobile Veterinary Surgeons and referring Surgeons who visit the practice daily. Collectively they have a wealth of experience and come are certificate holding Vets or studying towards a certificate.

The Hospital sees a wide variety of cases including specialised cases in neurology, medicine, and surgery. The hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including endoscopy, arthroscopy, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.

The Hospital provides high standard of clinical care and prides themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres.

All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in this state-of-the-art Animal Hospital.

Who are the looking for

The practice requires the Vet to have a minimum of 2 years' experience and someone who is comfortable with routine surgeries and consultations. They will have previous experience either in a night vet role or in a ECC role. They will have a passion for ECC and looking to develop their knowledge further in emergency and critical care work. An ECC certificate holder would be advantageous however the practice will provide support for the Vet to study towards an ECC certificate. They will be confident in making clinical decisions and happy with sole charge work.

Package:

  • Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 Commensurate to experience pro rata
