Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Night Veterinary Nurse with an interest in emergency and critical care to join a practice in Galashiels, Scotland. This role is part time covering 1 in 6 weekend day shifts, consisting of Saturdays from 12pm to 6:30pm and Sundays from 8am to 6:30pm, and 1 in 6 Saturday and Sunday nights from 6pm to 8:30pm. Additional cover is available if desirable.

During the night, you will be providing overnight care for the inpatients within the practice. They will be working alongside the Veterinary Surgeon and will also be responsible for new admissions.

This role is ideal for a nurse who is looking for a new challenge and someone who has a special interest in emergency and critical care. They support areas of special interest and support will be given to study for a certificate.

The role involves covering nights and weekends and the occasional day time shifts at weekend. The Nurse will also be involved in shared bank holiday rota.
