Permanent Mobile Registered Veterinary Nurse Watford London (VETSEEK-2181)

Watford, Hertfordshire

Veterinary Nurse

£25,000 pro rata

Full time / Permanent

Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent mobile Registered Veterinary Nurse to provide mobile cover across practices in the Watford area.

The role is full time and involves providing cover across 8 practices in the region. This offers the opportunity for an RVN to work in various environments and be exposed to a high volume of varied cases. it also enables them to make connections with a large amount of experienced Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses whom they can learn from. There is planned rota in advance and the position usually will involve covering two branches across the same week. Rota requirements are communicated out regularly.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres. All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in their nearest state of the art Animal Hospital.

About the role

The role plays a crucial part within the team across the branches and the main hospital, so they are looking for someone who has a strong passion for animal welfare and enjoys working across multiple teams. Whilst the position does involve working as part of a team it is important that the RVN is confident to work by themselves using their own initiative. The role requires the RVN to be flexible and be able to adapt to varying environments. The RVN will be either a clinical coach or willing to become a clinical coach to teach SVNs and PCCAs. Previous experience in clinical coaching is advantageous.

The RVN will need to have good listening skills and have an approachable and friendly manner. Excellent communications skills are required and the ability to establish good working relationships with both clients and team members.

The RVN will be ambitious and looking to continue with training and development of their own clinical skills and knowledge whilst also sharing knowledge with others. A proactive attitude and looking at ways to develop the clinics to improve standards is important along with always maintaining a professional attitude.

A full driver's licence is required for this role and the Nurse must be registered with the RCVS.
