A lovely mixed independent veterinary practice dedicated to providing an excellent standard of care located outside of York, North Yorkshire is looking for a permanent full time mixed veterinary surgeon working a 4.5 day week with a healthy weekend / on call rota to join there fourteen vet team.

Key Details:

Hours Mon - Fri: 8.30am - 6.00pm working a 4.5 day week

Weekends: Based on a 12 week, you would work 1 weekend being 1st on call, the second weekend being 2nd on call and the 3rd weekend covering morning consults 9.00am - 1.00pm. You would then receive 9 full weekends off, and 3 full Fridays off.

OOH: There is always a second vet to support - Based on a 3 week rota (Mon - Thurs) - 1 night being 1st on call, one night being 2nd on call and 1 week with no on call.

Split of mixed work: 77% Farm, 20% Small, 3% Equine - with an emphasis on the dairy side

Also do pigs, poultry should you have an interest in this area they can offer this over other areas.

One of the key advantages is that they will fully support anyone who wants to specialise in an area and find a niche etc.

About Them:

They offer a comprehensive 24 hour service for pets, farm animals and horses.

Offer emergency care is available 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and is always provided by two veterinary surgeons from their own practice, ensuring prompt attention to all urgent calls. They also do not charge their farm clients a surcharge for out of hours calls.

Package:

Salary 35,000 - 50,000

Holiday: 20 days plus banks increase 1 day per year worked up to 25 days. Plus extra days off on top at Xmas time.

CPD: They offer no min or max and very much open to support what you would like to do.

Fee's Paid: VDS, most practice memberships, staff discounts on smalls etc

Very much open door policy and offer full funding / support to advance your skills.

Full expensed vehicle for personal and work use provided

Must have:

RCVS registered and qualified

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom

1 years UK practice experience
