Job description

We have an opportunity for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon to take on a clinical director position at a practice in Oldham. This role is ideal for a passionate surgeon who is comfortable with working sole charge.

You must also have excellent communication skills, high clinical standards and practical experience gained in a small animal practice. You will have the experience and competence necessary to lead the practice effectively and improve the already high standards provided by the clinic.

You must also be confident in setting a good example and be supportive of your fellow colleagues as they will look to you for guidance. You will be confident in performing all aspects of surgery and consultations and will have the ability to create trusting and dependable relationships with your clients. Any special interests are welcome and encouraged in the practice.You will provide the gold standard of care to the practice's patients and clients and be confident in taking on all aspects of surgeon responsibilities.

This role is full time for 4 days per week with shifts of 9 hours, along with the additional 1 in 3 half weekends and 1 in 6 full weekends.

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
