Job description

We are recruiting for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead a team at a small animal practice in the fantastic location of Notting Hill, London.

This is a full-time position for 42 hours per week however the practice can be flexible on hours worked.

The role will involve working alongside the friendly team and with the local and dedicated client base. The practice pride themselves on the kind and personal client and patient care that they offer. The role will involve a variety of medical and surgical cases. There is ingoing support provided from nearby branch practices along with a specialist practice, so this role not only offers excellent clinical knowledge development and skill development but also a great work / life balance.

The practice is equipped with digital; and dental x-ray, theatre and waiting room with access to ultrasound and endoscopy for specific cases.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Work up a variety of cases including more complex cases alongside the Hospital staff
  • Working alongside a team of experienced Vets with a variety of special interests.
  • Delivery a high standard of clinical care to all patients
  • Providing an excellent service to all clients
  • Working close with the onsite team as well as the wider team across the region.

  • Weekends: 1 in 2 Saturdays
  • OOH: None
  • Sole Charge: Some
  • Consultations: 15 Minutes

About you:

  • You will always deliver a high standard of clinical care
  • You will be ambitious and motivated to run a practice and lead a team
  • You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience
  • You will have a medical bias
  • You will be passionate and motivated to drive the practice forward
  • You will be looking to develop your medical and surgical skill set
  • You will be happy with sole charge work
  • You will be competent in all areas of routine surgery and medical cases
  • You will have excellent customer facing skills and be able to motivate other team members
  • You will work well within the team alongside other veterinary specialists and clinicians
  • You will be a passionate and motivated veterinary surgeon with a genuine interest for animal welfare

Package:

  • Salary: 45,000 to 60,000 commensurate to experience
