Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Leicester for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon.

The practice is looking for a surgeon who has 4 to 5 years of post graduate experience gained in a small animal practice, excellent communication skills in order to inform and support clients, competence in routine surgeries and the ability to create evidence-based treatment plans. You will also be willing to help the more junior team members; previous experience of this would be advantageous but not essential. Basic knowledge of exotics is also advantageous as the practice deals with many exotic pets.

The team consists of vets with specific interests, creating a versatile and collaborative team. One of the vets has a bias in orthopaedic surgery and the practice is keen to welcome any bias you have or want to pursue with their support.

The role is full time for 40 hours per week, along with 1 in 3 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
