Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Aberdare, Wales. This role is full time for 4 days per week from 8:30am to 6:30pm, along with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm which is to provide cover at a nearby branch.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Vet to lead and develop a practice and move it forward. They will be working alongside the HVN.

The practices provide a high standard of clinical care and pride themselves on having staff members who stand apart from the rest and have a real passion and vision for how they work. They provide ongoing training and support to all team members through dedicated training centres.

All staff also benefit from the access to the best diagnostic equipment such as MRI machines and CT scanners and state of the art operating theatres in this state-of-the-art Animal Hospital.

The Vet will need to be confident in clinical consultations and surgery and be happy to work in a sole charge role as well as being part as a wider team across the region. They will have a minimum of 2 years' experience. The Vet will be working closely with a branch close by and will also have support from the regional management team. They will be client focused and be passionate and motivated to drive the practice forward. They will have a friendly and empathetic attitude, lead by example and build strong working relationships.

  • Salary: Up to 65,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
  • Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
