We are working with an independent veterinary practice near Bognor Regis, West Sussex who are currently recruiting for a Lead veterinary nurse's to come and manage one of their successful branches. This is a full-time role worked over a 4-day week between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm each day, as well either a 1 in 5 weekend rota or 1 in 4 Saturday rota at one of their neighbouring practices. The position comes with no requirement to work out of hours.

This role would suit a well experienced veterinary nurse who ideally has experience leading/managing a small time, however its not essential.

Key Job Details:

Type: Small animal only

Hours Mon-Fri: 40 hours per week worked over a 4 day working week

Weekends: 1 in 5 weekend rota or 1 in 4 Saturday rota

OOH: No on call or inpatient checks

Team: 4 RVN's in the branch team, as well as Vets & support staff

Branch work: Weekend's are worked at another practice local

An independent veterinary practice in West Sussex who have been providing care to the local area for over 50 years, expanding at a rapid rate in the previous decade. They provide a complete small animal service across all their practices, as well as a 24/7 practice providing an on call service.

They pride themselves on their independent, family feel and have a very low staff turnover, supporting their team with their careers and day to day lives. All the practices are well equipped and this role is at a site less than 5 years old.

The candidate:

You will need to be a competent veterinary nurse with a strong all round skill set. You will enjoy being involved in all aspects of nursing and willing to get involved with whatever comes your way. You will need patience and excellent customer service skills to ensure all clients are left feeling satisfied. Managing a team will be seen as a great challenge for yourself that you feel you can do to the best of your ability.

The Package:

Salary 25,000-27,000 depending on skills & experience

500 annual CPD Budget

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays + your birthday off

Must haves:

RCVS Registration

3+ years qualified veterinary nurse experience

Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom.
