Permanent Head Veterinary Surgeon - Liverpool, Merseyside

We are recruiting on behalf of a practice in Liverpool for a Permanent Head Veterinary Surgeon to join them.The position is full time for 40 hours per week, along with 1 in 3 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.

This clinic is an established and thriving practice that provides a supportive and friendly environment to work in. They focus on ensuring that everyone has a good work/life balance and invite everyone to present their opinions on how the practice is run.

You must be comfortable leading the clinic and being a presence that the other staff can look to. You will be joining a team of 2 Vets, 3 Nurses and a supportive nonclinical team. You will enjoy working as part of a close-knit team that thrive and enjoy clinical discussions. They also will have previous experience of working in a small animal clinic and be passionate about keeping up to date with their own professional development. There is very little sole charge involved however the Vet would need to be capable of this.

  • You will be comfortable with routine surgeries
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work

  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player
  • Ambition to pursue an area of special interest would be supported

  • Salary: Up to 60,000 per annum, commensurate to experience
