Job description

We are recruiting for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Rawtenstall.

This is a full-time role and the Vet would be joining a team of 3 Vets, 3 RVNS and a reception team. There is a weekend rota of 1 in 4 and no ooh.

This is an established modern and spacious practice which is purpose built and offers a wide range of veterinary surgeries. It has diagnostic equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, full orthopaedic kit, endoscope, laparoscopic equipment, Ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. They see a wide variety of both surgical and medical cases.The practice is continuing grow and are now in need of an additional Vet to join them. They provide a high standard of clinical care.

They are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon, someone who is looking to take their next career step and move into more of a senior tole with leadership development available. They will be an enthusiastic and passionate vet with excellent client care and communication skills. They will enjoy working as part of a team.

About You:

  • You will be ambitious and motivated and excited to develop and expand a practice
  • You will be looking to move into a more senior role with leadership development
  • A bias in orthopaedics would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in emergency surgery and laparoscopic spays would be advantageous but not essential
  • You will have an approachable, empathetic, and caring attitude
  • You will be passionate about all aspects of your Veterinary Work
  • You will enjoy building up your own client base
  • You will be driven and ambitious
  • Ambition to study towards areas of special interest are welcome but not essential for the role
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package:

  • Salary: Up to 35,000 - 50,000 Commensurate to experience
