Job description

We are recruiting a veterinary surgeon for a small animal independent practice in Cheltenham.

Our client offers a full-time, permanent position and are looking for a veterinary surgeon with 2-3 years experience. This role offers flexible hours between 8am and 7pm, working Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 4 weekend rota. There are no OOH requirements in this role.

  • Weekdays: Flexible hours with shifts between 8am to 7pm

  • Sole Charge: Very occasional
  • Team: Working alongside a fabulous team of dedicated vets and nurses

An expanding, independent, small animal practice based in Cheltenham, a central location with excellent transport links and also a newly renovated branch surgery located in nearby Brockworth.

Our client hasa highly skilled, committed and supportive team with a low staff turnover rate. They work hard to look after their lovely, loyal client base and aim to provide a personal service and high clinical standard of care.

The practice is well equipped and is expanding to allow room for even more! Current equipment includes digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiple scopes and a full in-house laboratory. Future plans include a laparoscopic kit.

A generous CPD budget and an experienced team will help develop skills and knowledge further with the potential for further study if of interest.

Package:

  • Salary between 38,000 and 50,000 dependent on experience pro rata
  • CPD Generous allowance 1750 with 5 days
  • Five weeks' annual leave plus birthday off

Must haves:

  • RCVS registered and qualified
  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Valid UK driving license
