Job description

We are recruiting for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Newport, Wales.

This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, over 4 days Monday - Friday, with only a 1:6 Saturday morning rota 9am - 12pm. There are no OOH in this role, as the practice appreciates the importance of a healthy work/life balance. They are open to part time applicants as well.

This is an established busy practice comprising of a team of 5 Vets, plus the partner, 5 Nurses and a reception team. They are a friendly and supportive team. The practice is purpose built and offers a variety of services and has facilities including Ultrasound, X-Ray, in house laboratory, dental equipment and orthopaedic services. They see a wide range of cases and have a growing client base.

About the role

The practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who has strong communication and client care skills. They must be able to work well as part of a team. They provide ongoing support for continual growth and development so areas of special interest are supported, and they encourage undertaking certificates. They offer a generous weekend rota and no ooh thus enabling a great work / life balance.

About You:

  • You must have a strong work ethic and provide an excellent high standard of clinical service
  • You will be confident in all routine surgeries and consultations
  • You will have an approachable and caring attitude
  • You will be able to establish good working relationships with clients and be confident in all consultations
  • You will want to contribute to the practice with ideas enabling them to stay at the forefront of clinical thinking whilst also maintaining the ethos of providing a high standard of clinical care to all pets.
  • You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop a great rapport with both clients and staff.
  • You will be a strong team player

Package:
